Just shipped this maiolica pitcher set to Winston-Salem for an exhibit of Piedmont Craftsmen who have been members for over 25 years. The exhibition is at the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts and in the Womble Carlyle Gallery.
I’m actually participating in a flea market which is located just 2 blocks from my house in good ole Long Island City. While doing an outdoor show has it’s limitations I’m meeting some great people and showing my work practically in my own backyard, which is a lot of fun. I’ll be there this Saturday, July 20 and the following Saturday July 27. Then taking a break until Sept. Come by!
Making pots for upcoming wood fire at Peter’s Valley this October. One of the ceramic studios where I teach (Earthworks NYC) is doing a group firing and I have been invited to participate. Love to wood fire at Peter’s Valley. Bruce Dehnert, the ceramics resident, is a master at firing the noborigama kiln there. Should be a great time.
This summers caladium crop in the garden on 46th Road, July 2012.
A few weeks off this summer in between teaching schedule to work on next wood fire in October at Peter’s Valley in New Jersey.

This jar has been to several shows this year and now it will go with me to New Orleans to stay at my friends house where Speedy lives. Can’t wait to be in NOLA for the Holidays!
These lively cups and saucers are on view at the Peekskill Clay Studio until Oct. 30. I’m trying to capture an essence of New Orleans and it’s tropical lushness.
Lemonfish Platter, 19″x 9.5″
Yesterday we went up to Peekskill for the opening of an exhibit that I’m in. This is a platter from my series of fish platters and I’m showing it, along with a few other pieces, at the clay studio for the next 2 weeks. This platter is inspired by the fact that a cobia is also known as a lemon fish. A similar piece in the show was mentioned in the NY Times.
The Botanical Gardens were spectacular yesterday.
I am so happy! It’s Wednesday, Sept. 21 and I am using my new Mac! Next stage- more photos, Pottery, happenings and whatever else comes up that seems appropriate. Stay tuned!
